There are many reasons for indulging in a spa day. Many look upon a spa experience as being beneficial to health, whilst others simply treasure pampering as part of a well deserved beauty treat.The more cynical among us often take the view that the treatment in the spa is just a softening up process to persuade the relaxed and suggestible to part with even more of their cash for a range of spa branded products.
It’s true that some leading spas have perfected a series of products that can be used domestically without needing a therapist and many of these products are “as used” in the spa’s own treatments. For others, spa days are only things they have done on team building/bonding days or they just can’t go as they are pregnant and have increased skin sensitivity and sense of smell as well as the “bump” to contend with. Some women find the smells and textures of otherwise market leading creams and lotions to be unpleasant or look to bath soaks to ease discomfort and relax them rather than prescription medicines.
It’s also during pregnancy that women have to take even more care of their skin and overall health, so many prefer to use spa quality beauty products, cosmetics and creams specially developed with pregnancy in mind.These enriching products helping to soothe, calm and nourish stressed, skin throughout pregnancy and beyond.The same is true of foot and hand care, which can improve cosmetic appearance and enhance comfort as part of a spa treatment.There are soothing and cooling creams available that will carry on the good work at home after the treatment finishes, and if that extends the sense of well being in a domestic environment, what’s wrong with that?
