Motion sickness is a condition in which the fluid in the semicircular canals of the inner ear becomes agitated, and usually happens when a person is traveling, say on a boat or an airplane. Symptoms include dizziness, sweating, nausea, vomiting, and generalized discomfort. It can range from being so mild that it is hardly noticeable to so severe that the person becomes almost debilitated.
The majority of adults experience motion sickness at some point in their lives, but as grownups we are basically able to take medicine, feel better, and that is that. When it comes to children experiencing motion sickness, we want to be able to help them out and offer them anti motion sickness medicine as well, but when it comes to motion sickness medicine for children you need to be very careful.

There are quite a few options when it comes to motion sickness medicine for children. The first step is going to be for you to talk to your doctor. For instance perhaps your child has an allergy and would not be able to take a certain type of motion sickness medicine for children, this you are going to need to know beforehand.
Also keep in mind that regardless of which medicine they decide to try your child on, you are going to need to make sure that you follow the dosage instructions very carefully, and that you do not use more than one medication at the same time. If your child is already on any type of medication, you will need to let your doctor know this if they do not already, to ensure that there will be no lethal combinations of medication going on.
There are also natural, alternative routes that you can use for your child, but depending on their age, you may just want to stick to the basic medication for them for the time being. If they are a bit older you do have the option of using a different type of motion sickness medicine for children, something which is known as homeopathy.
Homeopathic remedies are fantastic because they have proven to work just as well as the pharmaceutical drugs, only without the uncomfortable and unfavorable symptoms and side effects.
