- pregnancy
- genetics
There are a many different options for treating hemorrhoids. These include avoiding oily and spicy foods, consuming enough water, avoiding caffeine, reducing straining, avoiding laxatives, wearing loose fitting underwear and clothing, cleansing the anus with cool water and soap, adding fiber to your diet, exercising, using ointments, taking herbal medicines, and surgical procedures.
You can find herbal ointments and medicines are prepared with plants such as pagoda trees, butcher trees and horse chestnut. The best thing for hemorrhoids is to utilize preventative measures.
You can try treating your hemorrhoids with home remedies such as changing your diet and using the hemorrhoidal creams and over the counter medications on your own. However, if these remedies are not helpful you should consult your doctor. Your doctor can do a comprehensive exam and then provide you with another treatment plan.
