Eat A Balanced Diet And Heart Disease Is History

The best way to not get heart disease is to eat a balanced and varied low-fat diet, exercise regularly and do not smoke. If you never exercising, smoke like a chimney and think beer and Twinkies make up a balanced diet, and heart disease will come calling. Heart disease is not a lot of fun and can very well kill you – as well as being incredibly expensive to treat. Diet and heart disease are things you need to be aware of to live out your normal lifespan.

What Not To Eat

A bad diet consists of a majority of high-fat processed foods, such as salty or sugary snacks, fast food and red meat. Eat a bad diet and heart disease is inevitable. This is one reason why high food prices around the word forces the poor into obesity. Ironically, junk food has become less expensive than good food like fruits and vegetables. High food prices mean an early death sentence for the world’s poor.

You also don’t want to eat just one kind of food. You need a whole variety of foods in order to be healthy in not just your hear, but all of your bodily systems. A healthy diet also helps positively affect your emotions and stress levels, as well. When you feel healthier and less stressed, you tend to feel more energetic, sleep better and are able to make decisions more wisely. Eat a good, balanced diet and heart disease’s propensity will be one of the side effects.

What If You Already Have It?

If you already have heart disease, there is still hope, as long as you are patient and persistent with yourself and follow your doctor’s advice. Don’t self medicate with alcohol, drugs or even herbal preparations. They can deliver side effects even more lethal than bad diet and heart disease.

Heart disease does not go away on its own. Don’t ignore it — you need to see a doctor. Even if you’ve had a heart attack, you can prevent another from killing you or debilitating you with regular exercise, taking your medications, and eating a low-fat, balanced diet. There are many foods labeled – even restaurant menu items – that are labeled as heart healthy. You can also save your life and ease the burden off of your heart by quitting smoking, stop drinking alcohol, cut down on sugary sodas and learn how to better handle stress.
