Sleep apnea
A condition in which a sleeping individual frequently starts and stops to breathe throughout the night is called sleep apnea. There are 2 kinds of apnea, the most common of which is called obstructive and the other being central sleep apnea. Folks who experience this condition have no realization of the respiring interruptions, only realizing that they feel fatigued most of the time. Waking with a sore throat, dry throat and headache are frequent grumbles, as is having a problem staying asleep. Central sleep apnea is a dangerous condition that’s less common which is due to coronary disease and stroke.
Narcolepsy
The belief that narcolepsy is due to other sleeping problems like sleep apnea is a myth. Though the exact cause is not known, the brain chemical called hypocretin is present in much lower levels in those with narcolepsy. There are also many other contributory factors to the condition such as genetics, stress or environmental concerns that are believed to play part in it. When subjected to this disorder, individuals can enter into REM sleep all of a sudden without first experiencing NREM sleep, which is typically the start line of sleep. This condition can affect a person physically, psychologically and socially.
Insomnia
Sleep wants change from person to person, but everyone needs some quantity of sleep. When an individual has trouble dropping off or staying asleep, it may be insomnia. It can be due to a variety of different reasons ; a medical condition, specific drugs, stress, depression, alcohol consumption or too much caffeine. Sleeplessness can come from lengthy periods of bad sleeping habits and also from easy aging.
Everyone knows how important restive sleep is to the health ; however, knowing it and achieving it can be fully different matters. When a sleep disorder such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy or insomnia interferes with ordinary daily activities, it could be time to visit your doctor before further medical or psychological conditions occur.
