Anybody who is already suffering from acne knows the upset that the appearance of unsightly blackheads on your nose and cheeks can cause. That is exactly why it is so important to know how to get rid of these ugly little pimples in a quick, but gentle and effective manner.
Don’t ever squeeze nose blackheads. It is very tempting. People who suffer from acne often forget that squeezing only spreads infection as they squeeze their pimples so often. It will, however only aggravate the problem. Blackheads should only be removed in a gentle way that will prevent scarring.
Some believe that vigorous scrubbing of the nose will get rid of blackheads. That is also not true. Such a harsh treatment of your skin will only harm it and even though it will temporarily create the impression that your blackheads have cleared out, they will only be back. The only long-term, sustainable solution is to make sure in the first place that your kidneys and liver are clean. You can do this by drinking a lot of water.
A blackhead is caused by particles of dirt and dust blocking the pore. Oils secreted by the sebaceous glands under the skin then get trapped inside the pore resulting in blackheads. If you have a healthy skin and you sweat a lot, grime and dust will not block your pores and cause nose blackheads. That is why a bit of healthy exercise also result in fewer blackheads as it opens up the pores.
An effective home remedy to try on nose blackheads is to use a paste of baking soda and water on the affected area. Wait till the paste has dried and then wash it off with lukewarm water. Follow this up by splashing your skin with icy cold water to close the pores.
Rubbing banana peel over areas affected by blackheads also works. It is a natural way to get rid of blackheads instead of using cotton balls and medicated cleansing pads.
Commercial blackhead removal strips have also proven to be useful. These strips are applied over nose blackheads and the peeled off. The blackheads are pulled out of the skin by the strip. The strips also remove excess oil from the pores and are an excellent way to remove those stubborn nose blackheads.
Another economical and easy way to get rid of blackheads is to remove them by steaming. Just rinse a washcloth in hot water and place on your nose for 15 minutes. This will soften the skin enough for you to remove the blackheads with a cleanser and cotton ball.
Some people do not find any method of getting rid of those nose blackheads, efficient and successful. They might want to consult a dermatologist, who can suggest a proper remedy for the removal of blackheads. Proper maintenance of your skin and strict skin care can help lessen the presence of the blackheads in the future.
